Mama’s Little Personal Trainer {Giveaway}

When you have a child, it can be daunting to figure out how to incorporate a workout into your routine (especially in the beginning).  I vividly recall the large amounts of time I spent during the day with a post-nursed baby asleep on my lap.  I was so enamored; I didn’t want to move him to a bassinet.  I just wanted to hold him all the time.  I also clearly recall the crazy intermittent sleep, specifically staring at the clock around 2am, 3am, 4am….  I was thankful for friends with newborns who would send me texts around those times to “chat” as we patiently waited for the next round of sleep.

So it’s no wonder why exercise was on the bottom of my list of things to do.

Kelli Roschak (and her baby Kayla) have created a multi-tasking workout for you during this time.  Inspired by her baby and desire to lose weight post-pregnancy, Kelli utilized breastfeeding and babywearing to accomplish her fitness goals.  Kelli found herself bouncing around her baby in a sling trying to put her to sleep a few times a day.  The Babywearing WorkoutShe decided she might as well be doing some exercises at the same time.

And so another baby was born…this one named: The Babywearing Workout.  The Babywearing workout is a 30-min. fitness video giving you different positions to try with your baby in a carrier.  The beauty of this type of workout is that you can still accomplish your fitness goals while keeping your baby close.  Another perk, a mother’s body naturally adjusts to her baby’s weight as he/she grows, so you are getting the optimal level of “weights” to incorporate into you work out at the optimal time.  These techniques worked for Kelli allowing her to lose 70 pounds post pregnancy!

Here is a sample of the video:

One lucky Hip & Healthy Kids reader will receive a downloadable copy of her 30-min. babywearing workout.
